Experiments are a necessary part of learning, but as you can imagine, not all testing goes well and when your testing is of the magic variety, things not going well is a very dangerous thing. Alteration magic can be an effective defence, a profitable endeavour, or, as in the case of a mage named Nathaniel, result in a very swift, unexpected and very sudden death.
Nathaniel had been working on the concept of duplication and enlargement through the arcane arts. His goal was to duplicate a feather and make it larger and eventually, he wanted to be able to make that feather take back its original form. The concept was that if conjuration techniqu
Death is as much a part of life as birth is. One brings great joy and happiness, the other, painful loss and sorrow. Both are the natural course of nature and should never be altered by the hands of man and yet it never stops them from trying. Those who can not cope with the ache left by the parting of their loved ones oft seek a way to change fate, or bring back those who perished.
Necromancy thrives on the mechanics of such desires, but not all who seek change turn to necromantic arts, some seek other paths. This can be said of one such man who's heart was heavy with grief at the death of his wife and child. The poverty stricken farmer ha
Parents. They are our world when we are born. They guide us, they teach us, they protect us. Parents are our stronghold, our safety, our role models. We turn to them for guidance, strength and knowledge. We learn our values and beliefs, our rights and wrongs, our social graces from them. So what happens when we decide we can't follow in their footsteps? When we can't see them as the men and women we aspire to be? I can't speak for everyone, but when I saw my parents for what they were, I ran.
My parents were fanatics, completely obsessed with the Deadric Prince Boethiah and were always trying harder and harder to win favour with him. As a ch
In every one of us there is a survival instinct. Some call it 'fight or flight mode' and that is what it's about. Fighting without reservation, without mercy, without fear, or running without fatigue, without a structured route, without hesitation. It comes naturally, uncontrolled, unplanned, but what if we could harness it? What if we could use it to our advantage? To fight relentlessly without any other thoughts clouding the mind?
That is what the Kodaav Fighters were created for. Raw power, strength beyond normal means, a way around the Briarheart rituals. Natural, untamed, fierce brutality and no exploitable weakness. Their training is b
When all is still, not a thing to be heard, most people would call that peaceful, calming, relaxing even tranquil. Not us... Silence is where we are most alive and most dangerous. We are Sparrow Warriors, deadly assassins, clawed devils, agile defenders. We move quickly and soundlessly across the terrain, either spying on our enemies, foraging for our people or relaying information between clans. We avoid conflict where we can, after all, we're too valuable to Cael to throw our lives away needlessly but when we strike, most often it is from above, landing on our prey and tearing them asunder with our long claws.
By using claws as our weapon
Restoration... Conjuration... Illusion... Alteration... Destruction... Magic is a vast topic with so much knowledge to gain, that's why most mages focus on a single aspect. The College of Winterhold will tell you that magic is by it's very nature volatile and dangerous and they would be right. The most dangerous magic of all come from the raw power of destruction magic, even the name tells you its a hazard. It takes years to master, constantly focusing your mind to keep the elements in check, careful not to lose control and incinerate an entire village.
That's why I came to Skyrim, not because I burned down a village... well not entirely...
Hey guys,
I just thought I'd make it 'public knowledge' that we're aiming to make a new 'Romantic Tails' episode a week (Sunday/Monday, depending on time zone) so please stay tuned.
I have several concepts already drawn up (about 30) so we wont run out of content in a hurry. If there's any situation you don't like from Skyrim and would like to see how Ruby would handle it, please let me know and if I can make it work (or it hasn't already been done by us) I will do my best to work it in (after all, without you guys there is no Romantic Tails)
Don't be shy, I'm up for ideas and I want your feedback too!
